The successful entrepreneur and founder of the global consulting and investment firm Venia International, Sebastien Clamorgan, has noble roots, and his origins can be traced back to the aristocratic family of the Clamorgans. One of the most important figures belonging to this dynasty is his great grandmother Madeleine Clamorgan, a literate who had a crucial role in founding many Catholic schools in France in the early 1900s.
Sebastien Clamorgan’s great grandmother Madeleine: a noble family
The literate, woman of culture, and intellectual Madeleine was a significant figure within the Clamorgan family, serving as an example of passion towards culture, learning, and teaching. Born in Mayenne (France) in 1880, Madeleine always had a great passion for education, and this talent was clear since she was very young. Her teachers were astonished by her intelligence, and helped her to move to Paris, where she pursued a higher education. In Paris she met Charles Daniélou, who later became her husband. After their marriage, she became Mrs. Daniélou. The contribution of Sebastien Clamorgan‘s great grandmother to the foundation of Catholic schools in France is very remarkable, and this is one of the activities for which she is best known. She founded the “Ecole Normale Libre Ms. Daniélou” together with Miss Desrez, and the “Colleges Sainte Marie” in Neuilly sur Seine, a school that gave more than 17,000 students the opportunity to receive education. She personally took care of philosophy classes, organized many conferences and lectures, and wrote many texts about religion, philosophy, and education. Thanks to her commitment, she soon became well known among the men of culture of her time, such as Léonce de Grandmaison, her mentor and spiritual guide, who always stayed by her side until her death in 1927.
Nobility and entrepreneurship: the cornerstones of Sebastien Clamorgan’s personal and professional life
Because of the importance of his ancestry and the noble origins of his family, Sebastien Clamorgan is now committed to keeping alive the memory of his great grandmother Madeleine, as she is an example of passion towards culture and initiative. It is the same ability to start things which has been handed down from one generation to another, reaching up to the great grandson of Madeleine. And it is no coincidence, thus, that Sebastien Clamorgan became a successful businessman and entrepreneur. With more than 25 working years of experience in private equity, shipping, food & beverage, logistics and real estate business, he is a professional who achieved much success during his life. In the late Nineties, he founded Venia International, a global consulting and investment firm that contributes to improve the safety across transport companies in the African and Middle East Region, where it is a key player in the sector. This is also due to the important partnerships that Venia International built with global players, such as those with companies related to food & beverage, oil & gas, logistics and shipping. One of these happened recently with Venia International creating a partnership with Eat’n’go, a Nigerian group located in Lagos (Nigeria). The partnership is aimed at supporting Eat’n’go to become the leader food operator in Africa and becoming the exclusive master franchisee for Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone Creamery, two giants operating in the food & beverage business. As a consequence of the investments made by Venia International, the company founded by Sebastien Clamorgan is experiencing now strong economic development, boasting over 3,000 employees, and playing, therefore, a crucial role in the MENA region.
